Privacy policy

Sheets by Nirn ("Sheets") is a YouCan app made by Nirn. With Sheets, each new order in your YouCan store is added to a Google spreadsheet as a row. Here we list the data we collect, how we use it, where we keep it, who we share it with, and how you can have it deleted.

Google user data

Here we describe the data we receive from Google when you connect a Google account to Sheets.

Data we access

  • openid and email: the email address of the Google account, to show you which account is connected.
  • drive.file: the spreadsheets created by Sheets. We cannot see, open or change any other file in your Google Drive.
  • We store the email address, an access token and a refresh token.
  • We store the ID, name, columns and filters of each spreadsheet created by Sheets.
  • We do not read the content of your spreadsheets.

How we use it

  • We create a spreadsheet in your Google Drive when you ask for one in the app.
  • We write the header row of that spreadsheet when you change its columns.
  • We add a row for each new order, and for each past order when you export them.
  • We update the row of an order when its status changes in YouCan. Cells you changed, and columns for your team, are never overwritten.
  • We use Google user data only to provide these features to you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to decide credit-worthiness or for lending.
  • We do not use Google user data, including data obtained through Google Workspace APIs, to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or ML models.
  • No person at Nirn reads your Google user data, unless you ask us to for support, for security reasons, or when the law requires it.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app by Sheets adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share it

  • We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties.
  • Google user data is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, only to run Sheets.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to anyone to develop, improve or train AI or ML models.
  • We may disclose data when the law requires it.

How we protect it

  • The data is kept in a Cloudflare database in Western Europe. It is encrypted at rest by Cloudflare.
  • All data is sent over HTTPS.
  • Google tokens are used only by our server. They are never sent to your browser.
  • Access to the database is limited to Nirn.

How long we keep it, and how we delete it

  • Google tokens, the account email and the spreadsheet details are kept until you disconnect Google or uninstall Sheets.
  • When you disconnect Google in the app, we revoke the Google tokens and delete all Google user data.
  • When you uninstall Sheets, we delete the same data.
  • You can also remove the access of Sheets at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • To have your data deleted at any time, email sheets@nirn.dev. We delete it within 30 days.
  • We do not delete your spreadsheets. You can delete them in Google Drive.

Data from YouCan

  • Store details: name, YouCan address, domain, currency and store email.
  • Your account details: name, email and phone number, for support and billing questions.
  • Orders: when an order is placed, we receive it from YouCan and write the columns you picked to your spreadsheet. Orders are not stored by us. An order is kept in a queue until its row is written, for a few seconds in most cases.
  • The number of orders added each month, to apply the limit of your plan.
  • The ID of each order added to a spreadsheet, and whether its row was written. We use it to add each order only once, and to retry a row that could not be written. A retried order is read again from YouCan.
  • The position of each order's row in your spreadsheet, and a short checksum of each value we wrote. We use them to find the row again and to leave cells you changed alone. The value itself cannot be read from the checksum.
  • Store and account details are kept until you ask us to delete them.
  • Order IDs, row positions and checksums are kept until you stop syncing the spreadsheet, disconnect Google or uninstall Sheets.
  • Payments are handled by YouCan.

Analytics

We use an analytics service on sheets.nirn.dev to count visits to these pages. It is not used inside the app in YouCan.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. When our use of Google user data changes, we also tell you by email before the change applies.
